This book was a very good and factual about Gandhi's life. It explained everything from Gandhi's childhood to his death. He was born in a poor family but later studied law in a Law school in London. He lived in South Africa where he started his non - violence movement against racism. Back in India, he recognized that the only way for India to get its independence was for all of its people to unite together. He suggested to boycott anything related to Britain. In 1947, he succeeded but disappointed that India separated into two countries - India and Pakistan. The last day of Gandhi's life would be the day of his asaassination. 20 years, after Gandhi's death, Martin Luther King Jr. led his own non - violence movement for black rights. But he met the same fate as Gandhi.

Taslima Nasrin is a Bangladeshi ex-physician turned poet, essayist and feminist author. Her first book of poetry, titled Hunger in the Roots,was published in 1986 and her second, Banished Without and Within, became a huge success in 1989. Her first foray into fiction writing,Shame, brought her considerable critical acclaim, but when the Bangladeshi government and several Islamic fundamentalist groups perceived the book to portray Muslims in a negative light, the book was banned and she began receiving death threats. When the Bangladeshi government issued an arrest warrant for her in 1993, she went into hiding after posting bail. While in exile, she published several books and poetry collections, including, Tell Him The Secret(1994); Poems From Exile (1996); Meyebela, My Bengali Girlhood(1998); French Lover (2002); Ka (Speak Up) (2003); Feeling Empty(2004); and I Am Not Okay, but You Stay Well My Beloved Homeland(2006). She has lived in exile in France, India and Sweden.
In addition to her award-winning literary contributions, Nasrin is an outspoken advocate for women and the power of free speech. She has criticized religion, traditions, and the oppressive cultures and customs that discriminate against women.

concerns about the terrorist attacks in Mumbai and the steps the US

Meetings have been lined up with Senators and Reps on the morning and
afternoon of the 27th. More are in the process of being

2008 Top Doctors around Cincinnati area
2008 Top Docs
Cincinnati Magazine surveyed 5,137 physicians in eight counties—Hamilton, Warren, Butler, and Clermont in Ohio; Boone, Campbell, and Kenton in Kentucky; and Dearborn in Indiana. We asked those physicians to tell us whom they would turn to if "you, a family member, or a friend needed medical attention." (And we asked them to refrain from nominating themselves.) The results: 385 physicians in 42 specialties, each of whom received at least five votes from their peers. To see the list, click on the link below.
We checked the final results against state medical board records to ensure that our list did not include any doctors with formal actions against them. Our list does not, of course, include every caring, knowledgeable, and responsible physician in Greater Cincinnati.
